Teenager going on plane alone. Airport help please!?
My Mom is sending me to Arizona to visit my grandparents for a week. My first flight goes to Phoenix, then I get on another plane and go to Tucson. I'm 15, but haven't been to an airport in 9 years and never alone! The tickets have been bought and the proof has been printed on-line. So I already have those. Soooo, my question is.... What do I do?! D= Where do I go? How do I find which plane to get on? Does it say on my ticket? How do I get my ticket? I already bought them! Who can I ask at the airport for help? Where do I take my ticket? Any tips at all would be nice! <3 ....Please?

simply go to the ticket counter for the airine you are flying on and ask all the questions your little heart wants. try to get to the airport a full two hours before your scheduled departure time.

You can go to airport websites and see where all gates are so you at least have a visual. When you finish your first leg and get off the plane there are allways employees at gate entrance. But there should also be moniters showing departures and arrivals. If you have the time between flights, take it upon yourself to check them. If you are still scared, just see the associate, tell them you have not flown before and they will help you. There is also a customer service desk in many places. Would have been better to have a non stop. Tickets will always have the information you need. DONT RELY ON THIS AS GATES CHANGE. You must check the moniters when yo arrive. Peter is funny, but he is kidding, you will be fine.

You will have to go to the desk of your airline to check in. They will take the first part of your ticket and give you a boarding pass. You need the boarding pass to get on the flight. They will tell you what gate your flight is departing from. You will have to go through airport security to get to the gate, so allow plenty of time as this can get backed up. In Tucson, find an airline employee once you get off the plane, show them your ticket, and ask how to get to the next flight. (Sometimes the flight attendants can do this as you are in the air approaching the airport.) They will have told you whether you need to check in again at the first flight. If you don't have to check in again, they should have given you a second boarding pass for the second flight. Just go to the gate and wait to board. If they take only one ticket at the first check-in, make sure they don't accidentally pull both tickets. Airports are big, confusing places. I have flown a lot and have not quite got used to them, although I have come to know LAX (Los Angeles) quite well. If in doubt, go up to anyone with a uniform and ask. I know it can be a nerve-wracking experience not quite knowing what you are supposed to do and where you should go, but most anyone with a uniform can help you with the next step. Just take it one step at a time.

1. Check in on-line 24h before departure, print boarding pass 2. Check in at a kiosk machine at airport if not doing the above 3. Go to baggage drop desk, show boarding pass 4. Go through security 5. Watch monitor for gate information 6. Be at gate 30 min before departure 7. At Phoenix, watch monitors for Tucson gate 8. Be at gate 30 min before departure If you feel unsure, just ask any person in uniform, including airline crew.
