The A380 owned by Air France flies between Paris and New York. Emirates Airlines fly from Dubai via Frankfurt to New York on one of their A380s. I can see why you want to try it. I fly three times a year to Sydney from the UK and always insist now that it is on the Emirates A380 service.

AirFrance will start flying their A380 on November 20th. It will be used on the Paris CDG - New York JFK route. Of course, not every flight on that route will be on the A380.

it's highly unlikely that you get a 380 in this year or next. btw, some1 said that emirates flies a 380 to JFK. No, not now. Now they are using the aircraft for YYZ route.

It's not a question of distance, it's a question of passenger loads and slots. The airlines buying A380s are generally those that are unable to obtain adequate landing and take-off slots at major airports that they serve. This limits the number of flights they can have. Since they cannot schedule more flights, their only option is to carry more passengers on each flight—and so A380s are useful to them. Notable exceptions are British Airways and Air France, which have plenty of slots but are compelled to buy A380s in order to "show the flag."
